本日届いたメッセージによれば、問題のデモが起きているのは、ヨーロッパ側の地域で、開催地（アジア側）とは離れており、シンポジウムの開催に支障はが無いとのことです。

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear All,

As you may all be aware, some unforeseen events have happened in Taksim-Istanbul in the last 18 days. While we understand that you may be concerned, let us assure you that there is no risk to Travel to Turkey.

In any case, these protests took place only in Taksim square in Istanbul which is in the European side of Istanbul. Whereas the Symposium venue is in the Asian part and very far from Taksim. We assure you that the area is very safe and that there is no reason for you to make any changes in your travel plans. Furthermore, the protests ended on the 17th of June and life in Istanbul is going back to normal. Taksim is now available to anyone who wishes to visit.
